Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures performed in the U.S. each year.

The goal of this surgery is to enhance the bustline in women with small or underdeveloped breasts, or those who lost breast volume after pregnancy, weight fluctuations or even surgery.

To achieve the desired look, some patients require a lift in addition to the implant placement – particularly in the case of sagging of the breast and nipple complex. Uneven shaped breasts can be improved upon using different techniques of breast augmentation.

The surgery can be done through an incision underneath the breast fold, around the nipple areolar complex or through the armpit creases. Either way, an implant is placed under the existing breast tissue or covered partly by chest wall muscle to keep a natural contour and feel to the breasts. The implants I use are made out of silicone rubber and filled with sterile saline (salt water) solution to the preferred volume chosen by my patients during our consultation.

My practice uses highly specialized anesthesiologists within our surgery center for the safest possible conditions during your operation. Typically, the recovery phase is less than one week and most patients are able to resume normal daily activities within this time frame.
