Patient-First Recovery in Dallas
Recovery after an upper blepharoplasty typically involves mild swelling and bruising around the eyes, which should resolve within three weeks. You may be given a pari os specialized lenses to help protect your eyes from light and irritation during early healing. Most patients return to light activity, including desk work, gentle movement, and social gatherings within one week, but you may choose to rest at home until all bruising has faded.
After your procedure, Dr. Meade will share a list of aftercare instructions to support your healing. This list may include the following items:
- Incision site care and cleaning protocols
- Skin care and hair care recommendations
- Hygiene guidelines
- Sleep position restrictions
- Specialized lens guidance
- Sun protection and exposure requirements
- Activity limitations
- Swelling and pain management strategies
You’ll return to our Dallas office several times over the coming weeks for follow-up visits with Dr. Meade. There, he’ll check your healing progress, remove any remaining sutures, and approve you to resume strenuous activities, like swimming, high-impact exercise, and contact sports.
